Background

Challenge

Ti_role5.jpg

Ti's UX Design team needed to refine the existing software download pages since we discovered customers often look for the previous software version. The old version was not customer friendly, so our goal was to be a more engaging, technically credible, informative and predictable design.

For a select number of software downloads, customers may be required to visit a separate software download page for full information on that release, specifically the release notes, documentation and previous versions. These download pages lack a coherent design. The content within them has no overall standard governance informing authors what to include on their pages, which results in many inconsistencies in content structure, which decreases predictability and the overall quality of the customer experience.

My Role

  • Guide the team to check all the requirements and lead the decision on front-end framework

  • Partner closely with Senior UX to conduct user interviews and vet out usability solutions

  • Used Prototyping and Mockup tools to get sign-off from stakeholders

  • Continued to create backlog tickets for the next launch and address in backlog refinement sessions.

Result

As a result, we were able to decrease development time. Key UX decisions could be addressed quickly now that links were made between developers and designers.

Accomplishment

Ti_role5.jpg

Through my design task and coordinating work for the team of Texas Instruments and product teams, including Toronto, Dallas, San Francisco and New Delhi, I have delivered numerous optimized, scalable, and customer-tested solutions for TI’s e-commerce store during its expansion to the global B2C market.

Texas Instruments's goal is to become the leader in the semiconductor manufacturing industry by innovating and offering the best user experience throughout the customer's journey. Improving user flows and optimizing the interface are among some of the actions being taken to help our customers with their challenges.
